Left-hand South Australia and Adelaide Strikers batsman Travis Head made his representative debut in 2012 when he played in the Sheffield Shield against Victoria.
Batting in the middle order, in his first three seasons of first-class cricket, he registered a highest score in the 90s, narrowly missing a century.
Consistent and steadily improving performances came while he was still playing in the National Under-19 Championships.
Drafted in to the 2012/13 Big Bash to make his debut as a replacement for Kieron Pollard, he played twice in 2013/14 but had a much more successful 2014/15 campaign, when he scored 211 runs including a brace of half-centuries as the Strikers made it to the semi-finals.
Head suffered head and back injuries after being hit by a car in January 2013, but has managed to make a full recovery and is one of Australia’s brightest prospects.
