The Cricketer is delighted to announce that Gunn & Moore will be the Official Cricket Brand of the National Village Cup 2017.
Gunn & Moore’s managing director Peter Wright said: “Village cricket represents the heart of recreational cricket in the UK and there is perfect synergy between the National Village Cup and our new 2017 Made By England’s Best campaign.
“We recently welcomed two members of 2016 NVC winners, Sessay Cricket Club, to our factory in Nottingham. Club Captain Mark Wilkie and Simon Mason, who scored a century in the 2016 final using a GM bat, both saw for themselves how all GM English willow cricket bats are made from start to finish by our own craftsmen.
“It goes without saying that our support of this grassroots competition mirrors the support we offer all players at every level of cricket.”
The Cricketer’s head of marketing Jessica Davidson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Gunn & Moore as the Official Cricket Brand of the National Village Cup. With over 130 years of expertise they are a perfect fit for supporting all the players involved in the competition.”
Gunn & Moore adds its name to a host of sponsors including Bola, ExtraCover Insurance, International Cricket Tours, Owzat-Cricket and Pipers Crisps for the competition in 2017.
