Gunn and Moore is delighted to announce that England & Sussex premier batter Sarah Taylor has signed a new long term kit contract with the company ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup. This comes after playing her 100th One Day International for England and being named ‘Player of the Series’ in the recent T20 matches against South Africa with scores of 74* , 66 & 60.
Sarah Taylor said: “I am delighted to extend my relationship with Gunn & Moore and I am proud to be associated with the only major UK cricket brand that is supporting and promoting women’s cricket in such a positive way. Long may it continue.”
It has been a hectic schedule for Sarah during the English winter, with her jetting off to Australia to play for Scorpions and Adelaide Strikers in WBBL. During this stint Sarah became the first woman to play in a men’s senior 2-day first grade match for Northern Districts.
Gunn and Moore is hugely excited about how the profile of women’s cricket has moved forward in recent times. The viewing success of WBBL, coupled with the recent announcement of the inaugural Women’s Super League in the UK for summer 2016, shows where the women’s game is heading and Gunn and Moore is already playing a leading part in this.
GM Managing Director Peter Wright said: “Sarah has been a great Ambassador since joining us in 2013 and we are proud that she has chosen to continue the relationship. With her help we have launched a complete ladies range of cricket bats, clothing and equipment, the only major cricket brand to support the women’s game in this way.
“We will continue working closely not only with Sarah , but also with Kate Cross, Jenny Gunn and Amy Jones to develop this range further and give all women cricketers the best cricket products on the market.”
