Alex Hales became the first England player ever to score an international Twenty20 hundred and in doing so helped England beat Sri Lanka and keep alive a realistic chance of progressing in ICC Twenty20 2014.
Alex hit a magnificent 116 not out in 64 balls including 11 fours and five sixes as England chased down 190 to win by 6 wickets with 4 balls to spare. He shared a third wicket partnership of 152 in 15.2 overs with Eoin Morgan.
This saw a remarkable turn-around for England who dropped four catches and missed a run-out in the Sri Lanka innings and then found themselves 0 for 2 in the first over.
Everyone at Gunn & Moore congratulates Alex on a truly stunning performance.
