GM is delighted to announce the signing of young Surrey batsman and wicket keeper Rory Burns to Team GM.
Gunn and Moore have been tracking Rory's progress for the last couple of years and his fine form in 2013 in his first full season of county cricket was crowned by winning the LV= County Championship Breakthrough Young Player of the Year.
Rory said: “I am really chuffed to be joining GM and cannot wait to see how they make their bats. The kit I have received so far looks really great. The bats are going really well in the nets and will hopefully bring me plenty of runs in the coming years. I am really excited about joining the talented list of established international and domestic cricketers in Team GM.”
GM’s Richard Harris said: “Rory is undoubtedly a quality player with enormous potential and we are proud that he has chosen GM to help him in the next stage of his career. We look forward to seeing Rory renew his Surrey opening partnership with Graeme Smith.”
Rory will be using GM Six6 DXM bats made from prime English Willow by our own craftsmen and women in our own factory in Nottingham, England.
